On the afternoon of February 17, Longtang Town Party Secretary Deng Junhong and People's Congress Chairman Deng Weiwen visited Guangdong Polyrocks Chemical Co., Ltd. ("Polyrocks") to inspect work resumption progress, employee health screening, and epidemic prevention supplies.
Located in Xiongxing Industrial Park of Qingyuan High-Tech Zone, Polyrocks specializes in eco-friendly flame-retardant modified plastics for lighting, appliances, OA equipment, IT, communications, electronics, building materials, wires and cables. With most local employees returned after work resumption approval, the municipal NPC deputy and company representative stated: "While production matters, employee health is equally crucial. Our epidemic prevention must be strict and meticulous - we cannot afford to lose this battle."
Robust Protection Enables Full Production
Implementing decisive measures, Polyrocks formulated its "COVID-19 Emergency Response Plan" immediately, establishing an epidemic prevention task force to enforce "Five Must-Do's" and "Six Safety Priorities" across departments.
Stringent Health Monitoring
The company maintains detailed employee health records, especially for staff from Hubei or high-risk areas. All returning employees underwent nucleic acid testing, with only negative-result individuals permitted back.
Comprehensive Prevention Supplies
"Mask up, temperature check, sanitize with 75% alcohol" - this three-step routine precedes every shift. Ample thermometers, masks, disinfectants and alcohol are provided, with enhanced sanitation in offices, living areas and cafeterias.
Innovative Workplace Solutions
For its 200+ staff cafeteria meals, Polyrocks installed overhead waterproof dividers creating four isolated seats per table, coupled with staggered dining schedules (production staff: 11:10-12:00; office staff: 12:00-12:30). "We mandate same-direction seating, no talking during meals," said Chen Gang. Additional measures include access control, temperature checks, optimized ventilation and shift arrangements to minimize contact.
Pervasive Awareness Campaigns
Posters and banners throughout facilities reinforce prevention knowledge. A temporary isolation room stands ready for emergencies.
After inspecting these measures, Deng Junhong encouraged: "No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn," urging confidence in gradual production recovery.
Among Longtang Town's 376 enterprises (100 large-scale), 54 had applied for work resumption by February 16, with 42 approved. Local NPC deputies will continue assisting companies in epidemic control to safeguard public health and secure victory against the pandemic.
