On March 24, 2025, Guangdong Polyrocks Chemical Co., Ltd. ("Polyrocks Chemical") and Anhui BBCA Biomaterial Co., Ltd. ("BBCA Biomaterial") officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two companies will collaborate deeply on the research, production, application, and market expansion of polylactic acid (PLA) materials, jointly driving innovation in the eco-friendly new materials industry.

At the signing ceremony, key executives from both companies gathered to witness this historic moment, including Liu Penghui, Director and Deputy General Manager of Polyrocks Chemical; Li Shimei, Operations Director; He Zihao, General Manager of Polyrocks New Materials; Fu Song, General Manager of BBCA Biomaterial; Li Yang, Marketing Director; and Sun Hongman, South China Sales Director. This partnership combines the strengths of both companies in technology, industry, and market resources, aiming to establish a benchmark for collaborative innovation in the bio-based materials sector.

BBCA Biomaterial is a leader in the full PLA industrial chain, leveraging its expertise in bio-fermentation technology to achieve large-scale production from biomass feedstocks (e.g., straw) to PLA end-products, with both technology and production capacity ranking among the industry's best. Polyrocks Chemical, on the other hand, brings extensive experience in material modification, processing techniques, and market development. Its modified PLA materials are widely used in packaging, consumer goods, and other sectors, serving a global network of renowned clients.

Under the agreement, the collaboration will focus on three core directions:

(1) Technology Synergy: The two companies will establish a joint R&D center to overcome bottlenecks in PLA synthesis, modification technologies, and application development, paving new paths for performance enhancement and broader utilization of PLA materials.

(2) Industrial Integration: BBCA Biomaterial provides robust upstream raw material supply capabilities, while Polyrocks Chemical excels in downstream modification and production. Together, they will optimize product portfolios and achieve seamless, efficient industrial chain coordination.

(3) Market Co-Expansion: By sharing customer resources and distribution networks, the partners will accelerate the commercialization of bio-based materials across industries.

This partnership carries profound significance. Fu Song, General Manager of BBCA Biomaterial, stated, "This is not only a deep integration of upstream and downstream industries but also a result of dual drivers—technology and market demand. We will work with Polyrocks Chemical to enhance PLA material performance, making the vision of 'replacing traditional plastics with biodegradable materials' accessible to broader sectors." Liu Penghui, Director and Deputy General Manager of Polyrocks Chemical, added, "With BBCA Biomaterial's solid industrial foundation and our expertise in application development, we are confident in significantly increasing the market share of modified PLA materials within three years, contributing our solutions to carbon reduction goals in China and globally."

This strategic collaboration marks Polyrocks Chemical's entry into a new dual-driver phase of "technological breakthroughs + market expansion" in the biodegradable materials industry. By combining resources and complementary strengths, the two industry leaders may reshape the PLA ecosystem, offering a practical model for the new materials revolution under the "dual-carbon" agenda and leading the eco-friendly materials industry toward a brighter future.
